The Northern California Horsemen's Association is a non-profit corporation established in 1938. We are one of the oldest equestrian organizations in Humboldt County. We are affiliated with the California State Horsemen's Association. NCHA has worked together with both State and local park services to plan, develop, an implement equestrian trails and campsites at Cuneo Creek, Redwood National Park and Stanshaw Trailhead in the Marble Mountains Wilderness area. We have promoted horsemanship over the years by sponsoring horse shows, gymkhanas, trail trials and trial rides. Our excellent working relationship of trust, land stewardship and responsible trail usage has allowed us to provide our membership with a variety of trail riding experiences
To become a member of NCHA you must be a sponsored by a member in good standing. Our monthly meetings are held on the 3rd Monday of each month, except December when we have a Christmas Party. The meetings are held Freshwater School off Greenwood Heights Road in Freshwater, CA at 7p.m. Guests are always welcome and encouraged to attend.
